I remember asking Ray a couple questions and he was smiling and answering and as I left I put my fist up near his face like we were going to fight. The press took pictures. I have never seen a fighter change his mood so fast. He went from “Hi” to “Hell No” in the blink of an eye.
I hadn’t earned that right yet.
I’ve seen very few fighters with Ray’s level killer instinct. He punched his opponents like he wanted to turn them to dust.
