Chicago Audio Society Features Janszen Audio 9.5 Loudspeakers This Sunday, October 12th!

This Sunday, the Chicago Audio Society welcomes back David Janszen, founder and designer of Janszen Audio (https://janszenaudio.com/), who will be demonstrating his flagship 9.5 loudspeaker. David Janszen carries on the legacy of his father Arthur Janszen, inventor of the first practical electrostatic transducer in the early 1950’s.

The 9.5 Loudspeaker is modeled after Arthur A. Janszen’s famed KLH Nine, but modernized with a freshened look and vastly improved performance and practicality.  The bass section consists of a 6-driver ceramic passive array crossed over at 200HZ. The electrostatic section consists of 5 narrow vertical sequential time delay strips that enable far wider horizontal dispersion than a flat electrostatic element combined with the advantages of the uniform wave-launch of a vertical line source. More details of the 9.5 speaker are HERE.

The meeting will be held at Unitel Technologies, 479 E Business Center Drive, Suite 105, Mt Prospect, IL60056 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 12th.  Please use the directions link below and refer to this for the entrance location. There is ample free parking.
